What We’re Saying: The Forum has been fully resurrected. In recent weeks and months, adidas has unleashed new general release colorways of the classic silhouette, all while delivering highly sought-after collaborations with the likes of Bad Bunny, atmos, and soon to be, Jeremy Scott.

Originally designed as a basketball shoe, the '80s court model is now changing sports, as the brand with the Three Stripes presents the first-ever Forum made for skateboarding. adidas worked with pro team rider Diego Nájera during the design process of the Forum 84 ADV, not only to ensure the sneaker is fully skateable, but also to implement touches that point to his hometown of Los Angeles.

Drawing from Nájera's love for car customization and tuner culture, the skate-ready Forum is outfitted with custom detailing such as a removable Velcro strap, ice blue accents and translucent paneling, and the skater's signature applied to the bottom of the outsole. To achieve the ultimate stability, breathability, and extended durability for shredding, the shoe boasts high quality construction featuring a premium grain leather upper, suede eyestays, mesh backed stripes, and tumbled leather toe box.

adidas points out that not only is this the first Forum made specifically for skateboarding, but it may also be the lone iteration of the 1980s classic to come from the adidas Skateboarding category. In truth, only time will tell if we get another skateable Forum. Either way, you can look forward to Diego Nájera's Forum 84 ADV arriving on July 24 at adidas.com/skateboarding and select skate shops worldwide.
