Editor's Notes: I'll be the first to admit that I'm no skater. My coordination is bad enough on foot, let alone on a board, so I've always lived my skate dreams vicariously through friends.

Growing up, my awareness of pro skaters was limited to Tony Hawk byways of Pro Skater 2 until my Supreme-obsessed high school friend kept me educated on the skaters features in 'Preme lookbooks.

I have him to thank for knowing who Jason Dill is – the adidas Skateboarding global Pro team rider. A legend, by all accounts.

For the non-skate native like myself, Dill is a legend off, as well as on the board. Fucking Awesome? Yeah, that's him.

Given the rider's huge contributions to the sport and culture, it's no surprise that his signature adidas skate Samba was such a popular drop when it launched in 2019. The limited-edition Samba made huge waves with its debut, and seeing how popular the classic low-top silhouette has been in the past year (thanks to Rihanna and ASAP Rocky), the timing of its return is perfect.

This spring, the OG Samba by Jason Dill returns – complete with white and black full-grain leather construction, aged ice sole, iconic T-toe design, and gold foil signature at the tongue.

Speaking on the release, Dill said: “For my first signature colorway with adidas, I wanted to dig into the brand’s history and bring back something classic from when I was young, like the stuff from the eighties that I really liked.”
