What We’re Saying: Summer is right around the corner, which means it's time to break out the lightweight sneaker alternatives. Just to let you know, the season's go-to silhouette already appears to be the provocative YEEZY Foam Runner from Kanye West and adidas. To appropriately usher in the warm weather period, YEEZY is delivering a new colorway of the intriguing slip-on, as the "Mineral Blue" pair is slated to arrive on May 29.

Official product images of the "Mineral Blue" YEEZY Foam Runner have emerged following teasers, giving us our best look at the SS21 colorway, which we now see is actually two-toned. Falling more in line with the recently released “MXT Moon Grey” iteration, the blue pair boasts an abstract pattern on the upper, as opposed to the familiar monochromatic look. In true Foam Runner fashion, the "Mineral Blue" makeup features a one-piece construction made from algae and lightweight EVA, incorporating oval holes throughout to enhance breathability.

If you do pick up a pair when they release on May 29, we suggest rocking them with a fresh pair of socks — yes, this is officially a thing again. In the meantime, here's a summer survival kit for this strange period we're in.
