5 Tracksuits That Won't Break the Bank
Tracksuits, like sneakers, are Highsnobiety’s (and the wider streetwear community’s) bread and butter. We’ve written about how tracksuits don’t always need to match, and why the style is in the midst of another golden age (spoiler: it’s cause they’re comfy as hell).
The tracksuit is a particularly interesting ensemble. Adopted as naturally by performance sportswear as the world of luxury fashion, it's the great equalizer. That said, the price points are certainly not equal. While you can end up dishing out four figures for a luxury iteration, you can just as easily keep things below three figures with some of the OG sportswear labels.
Seeing as we've explored the higher end of the spectrum, we thought it was only right that we put together a selection of affordable tracksuits, too.
Shop some of our favorite affordable tracksuits below.
Fear of God ESSENTIALS
Jerry Lorenzo's Fear of God label knows no bounds. From high-end luxury to affordable tracksuits, the LA brand does it all. This neutral combo is cut from soft cotton as opposed to sportier nylons so it's ideal for downtime, too.
adidas Originals
The adidas Originals Firebird Tracksuit is an undisputed champ in the tracksuit league. It's been around since the '80s and it's always been one of the most popular on the market. At less than $150 all in, it's hard to say no.
New Balance
New Balance's new Creative Director, Teddy Santis of Aimé Leon Dore, may already be having an impact. This color-blocked tracksuit has the same preppy air that we associate with Santis' New York label.
Nike
We couldn't do an affordable tracksuits roundup without including the Swoosh. While many sportswear OGs prioritize their archive designs, Nike's always pushing the boundary. This khaki co-ord features lightweight, technical materials for year-round utility.
PUMA
There's something about motorsport merch that has always appealed to the world of streetwear. PUMA's partnership with BMW has given us this everyday go-to, complete with BMW's racing colors and collaboration branding.
