Resale Price for Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" Skyrockets After Latest 'Last Dance' Episode
Last night's episode of ESPN's Michael Jordan documentary, The Last Dance, largely focused on Jordan's relationship with Nike. Since the episode aired, the resale price for the "Chicago" colorway of the Air Jordan 1 has skyrocketed.
The Air Jordan 1 debuted in 1985. After the famed black and red pair was banned by the NBA, a succeeding version was produced, which incorporated a league-approved white color scheme. The sneaker, which we now know to be the "Chicago" Jordan 1s, became an instant classic and is widely regarded as the most famous colorway of the Air Jordan 1.
Last released in 2015, the "Chicago" 1s are currently selling for an average price of $836 on StockX. Over the past year, 914 pairs of the white, varsity red, and black Jordans have sold on the platform, with a markup of 712.3 percent.
Since last night's episode of The Last Dance, pairs of the "Chicago" Air Jordan 1 have been reselling for upwards of $1,500-plus. You can see the most recent bids and try to land a pair now over on StockX.
