Editor’s Notes: As part of Nike’s extensive NBA All-Star 2020 collection, the Nike Air Jordan 3 “Unite” was one of the most anticipated releases due to its supposed limited release. Nike previously communicated that the sneaker would only be available in Chicago during NBA All Star Weekend, however, the sneaker will now also be available for US sneakers on the brand’s SNKRS app.

This is a big change, as a non “CHI”-branded version was also released to the general public, leading many sneakerheads to believe that sneaker in question would remain a special, Chicago-exclusive drop. That, evidently, is not the case anymore.

Originally released in 1988 as Michael Jordan's third signature basketball shoe, the Air Jordan 3 is known for its elephant print, Jumpman logo, and visible Air. This particular version features “NIKE CHI” branding on the heel in place of the usual “NIKE AIR” tag, whereas the same colorway without the special Chicago-themed branding will be released online and at select retailers worldwide.
