Double Tap to Zoom

In 2025, collabs aren’t just about slapping two logos together for the sake of it. A true collaboration is powered by a meeting of identity and philosophies, and more importantly, about fusing cultures, ideas, and visions into something bigger —and when it comes to making that magic happen, Awake NY’s Angelo Baque and Marshall have nailed the formula.

Founder of Awake NY, known for its deep ties to New York City’s street culture, Angelo Baque has just recently teamed up with Marshall to throw a zine-making workshop in Queens, bringing together a vibrant community of young creatives and building on his long relationship with the museum. Now, Baque and Marshall team up again to create the Marshall x Angelo Jukebox.

Let’s be real: jukeboxes rarely get the spotlight in today’s digital world, but when Baque and Marshall team up, you know this isn’t going to be just another analogue gadget. Taking the raw, powerful sound Marshall is known for, this vinyl jukebox is above all, about creating a community that celebrates the unspoken connection between sound and artistic expression. Handmade in England by Sound Leisure, this jukebox is all about the details. With red, yellow and blue design elements throughout it’s a nod to Baque’s Ecuadorian roots. Whether you’re looking for perfect audio for an event, immersing yourself in a solo creative flow, or simply enjoying a night of great music, this jukebox brings both sound and artistry to the forefront.

Growing up surrounded by jukeboxes, Baque always loved how each one had its own unique energy, thanks to the carefully handpicked tracks. So when it came to the Marshall x Angelo Jukebox, Baque worked his magic again, curating an exclusive vinyl playlist packed with the sounds and artists that inspire him the most. Growing up in the city, Baque has an ear for the sounds that define not just New York, but the entire creative spirit of the streets. From the smooth groove of Sade’s “Spirit” and the energy of Nas’ “Halftime,” to the hypnotic rhythm of Gil Scott-Heron’s “Legend In His Own Mind,” or the soul of Sonia Ross’ “Breaking My Heart.”, it's a journey through sound that just sets the mood. Sitting front and center in the Awake NY store in New York, it’s a reminder of how music shapes the way we live, sparks creativity, and brings people together — and if you’re lucky this one-of-a-kind piece could be yours as it’s up for auction.

Shot in an Ecuadorian restaurant in Queens, NYC, the campaign for the jukebox is all about community. In a full-on celebration of his roots, Baque brings together his friends, family, and locals who’ve been part of his world for years. With the jukebox cranking in the background, this moment perfectly captures what the collab is all about: channeling that raw energy from the streets of New York and celebrating creativity, culture, and the community that keeps it all alive.

Whether you’re deep into music, love cool design, or just have an eye for everything unique. Get ready to turn up the volume.
