Highsnobiety’s Fenn O’Meally stopped by Dover Street Market London recently to meet Angelo Baque, the founder of Awake NY and former Brand Director at Supreme.

In the interview, Baque and O'Meally discuss a myriad of topics, including Awake NY's latest collection and the brand's exclusive collaborations with DSM, which serve as a "thank you" to the store.

Elsewhere, Baque reveals that spending 10 years at Supreme was the hardest he's ever worked, but explains that the decade was a vital factor in Awake NY's success as it taught him everything about inspiration.

He also discusses how growing up in Queens has influenced his brand today, why he finds it important to stay open to new experiences instead of only paying attention to what was cool when he was growing up, and why opening a new Awake NY store in New York's Chinatown is so important to him and the local community.
