A.P.C. / Persol / Sam Rock
1 / 6

Italian luxury eyewear brand Persol presents its first collaboration in half a century, teaming up with A.P.C. for a special Spring/Summer 2020 release.

The star of the SS20 launch is Persol's iconic 649 frame, which was originally designed in 1957 for tram drivers in Torino, Italy. The silhouette went on to gain notoriety when Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni wore them in 1961 film, Divorce Italian Style.

Since then, the 649 has been worn by A-list actors and directors both on and off screen. Persol in turn remains a preferred brand in both the film and fashion industries to this day.

Persol highlights its collaboration with A.P.C. in a coinciding campaign shot by Sam Rock at the A.P.C. headquarters. The editorial stars A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou, musician Sky Ferreira, and singer Joseph Mount of UK band Metronomy.

You can choose from three different colors of the A.P.C. x Persol 649, as the sunglasses are currently available online.
