A$AP Rocky's Matching Set is Truly Like No Other
Painstakingly hand-making every item using the Japanese boro technique, which includes layering pieces of patchwork with elaborate hand-stitching, has won PROLETA RE ART many fans, including Gucci where the brand's designer lends artisanal expertise. But A$AP Rocky might be the biggest one of all.
First, the musician cradled his first-born child in a specially commissioned baby blanket from PROLETA RE ART as he joined Rihanna on the cover of British Vogue.
And now Rocky has given the brand not one, but two more co-signs.
Re-using denim from the house’s past collections, the brand's anonymous designer PROT has created a selection of 1-of-1 designs including the two-piece worn above by Rocky along with Timberland boots — a New York staple that we've seen him and other A$AP Mob members rep regularly as of late.
Being handmade, 1-of-1 designs, trying to get your hands on a full set from PROLETA RE ART's recent collab is no easy feat for mere mortals who haven't starred in multiple Gucci campaigns as Rocky has. At the time of writing, there is only one pair of pants available online in a size 31, and they retail at $6,000.
And the love didn't end there, as Rocky re-wore the exclusive jacket days later while dining with the family at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. This time around, it was together with a lime green flannel shirt and hoodie while the bottom half of his outfit was made up of blue jeans layered under a checkered skirt.
An outfit full of clashing colors and prints, it's one of them that only someone with serious sartorial prowess, like Rocky, could pull off.
Meanwhile, the rapper's son was matching in a green hoodie and the aforementioned red PROLETA RE ART blanket.
