A$AP Rocky Will Perform in Sweden for the First Time Since His Conviction
A$AP Rocky is making a "triumphant" return to Sweden following his detention and assault trial in Stockholm earlier this year. The 31-year-old rapper will perform at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe on December 11. A portion of proceeds from the show will go to local charity FARR, the Swedish Network of Refugee Support Groups.
According to organizers, Rocky was invited to headline the event following an outcry of support from his Swedish fans. He will "return to Stockholm to deliver a triumphant show for all his supporters," with additional Swedish artists to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, November 12 at 10 am local time via LiveNation.se.
Rocky and a group of associates got into a brawl with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari in Stockholm on June 30. The rapper was subsequently arrested and detained in the Swedish capital before being charged with assault. During his trial, the court decided that a conditional sentence was adequate punishment. The rapper avoided further jail time, subject to a probationary period of two years.
