The second part of Awake NY and Nike Jordan’s “Where I’m From” collection has arrived somewhat out of the blue, quietly announced without the lengthy teasing process that came with their debut drop. However, the signs that a second collection would arrive have been there.

Way back in June 2023, Awake NY unveiled its new flagship store and hanging from the ceiling was its collaborative Air Ship PE sneaker: a red-colored shoe attached to a blue-hued counterpart through their laces. The upcoming collaboration was hiding in plain sight, dangling above onlookers' heads.

Eventually, in March of this year, the red-colored sneaker was released, together with matching apparel and accessories. Now, after the trail went cold, the blue and white version is ready to launch.

This is, in the most literal sense, a follow-up to the collection that Awake NY and Jordan dropped earlier this year: a repetition of the retro-infused products from the first release but offered in new colors.

The Air Ship PE has the same snakeskin detailing, silver swoosh, and Jumpman wings logo; the varsity jacket has the same leather arms and fuzzy chenille patches; the basketball shorts have the same baggy fit… the only difference is this time all the red detailing is rendered blue.

While the first Air Ship PE was reminiscent of the Jordan 1’s famous Bred colorway, this one is themed around the Jordan 1’s Game Royal rendition. And by extension, so is its accompanying collaborative apparel.

This blue-colored collection is set to arrive in-store and online via Awake NY on November 2nd at 12 pm EST. The brand has promised to announce details of a raffle in the coming days.

As any film buff knows, sequels are often hit or miss, however, it's hard to imagine any fan of the first Awake NY x Jordan collection not being a fan of this one: it's the same products! (although, in different colors, of course.)
