Quilted shoes have been a popular fixture of FW22 collections. Of course, the classics like The North Face’s Nuptse Slipper have been filling this niche for a long time, but this season we’ve seen increased interest from the higher end of the spectrum, and the latest in this regard is Axel Arigato, whose Blyde Snow Boots really stand out.

Settled in amongst the leather luxury sneakers that we know and love Axel Arigato for, the Axel Arigato Blyde Snow Boots are a big detour.

For starters, they’re boots. Sure, we’ve seen the label perfect the art of high-top retro sneakers, but boots are relatively new ground for the Swedish brand. Secondly, the upper of the Blyde Boots is unmissable with a quilted finish.

Blyde does come in a leather version, but the quilted edition definitely comes out on top with bitter weather on the cards. The boots are handmade in Portugal and feature a durable shell that’s padded for warmth and lined with mesh. A toggled drawstring tops the boot for easy fastening and to lock in warmth. Built on an elevated tread sole with mudguards, they don’t skimp on utility.

Landing in black and brown, the Axel Arigato Blyde Snow Boots are available to buy right now online and in-store.
