Maison Francis Kurkdjian Turned Baccarat Rouge 540 Into a 24K Gold Body Oil
Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the maker of viral fragrance Baccarat Rouge 540, has concocted some very extra holiday offerings.
The fragrance house turned its most recognizable perfume — the aforementioned Baccarat Rouge 540, the subject of thousands of TikTok videos extolling its virtues — into an ultra-luxurious body oil mixed with 24 karat gold powder. (The brand's first Baccarat Rouge 540 body oil was free of shimmer and shine.)
Priced at $195, the sparkly oil is already sold out, a testament to the fragrance's continued popularity. Clearly, customers tuned in to one of many TikToks recommending Maison Francis Kurkdjian's original Baccarat Rouge 540 oil as a more affordable alternative to the perfume, which retails for $325.
Body oil isn't the only thing up the brand's sleeve. Also in new launches: scented bubbles, a fragranced take on a childhood classic. Available in four scents — Pear, Cut Grass, Cold Mint, and Violet — the novelty is an unexpected addition to Maison Francis Kurkdjian's sophisticated lineup.
Speaking of the brand's lineup, there's much more to MFK than Baccarat Rouge 540. Fragrances including Oud, Grand Soir, and Amyris are also beloved by fans of the house.
Factor in founder Francis Kurkdjian's resume, and you've got a lengthy list of olfactive hits: Kurkdjian is the perfumer behind masterpieces including Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, one of the world's best-selling fragrances; and Narciso Rodriguez For Her, an enduring favorite among fragrance connoisseurs.
