We're nearly there people: on July 21 the Barbie movie releases in America.

The journey up to the release has been a pretty wild journey so far, we've seen Barbiecore (AKA wearing pink) become a genuine phenomenon, over 30 product collaborations released, huge events take place around the globe with star-studded guestlists, and much more.

Overall, it's been a PR masterclass that has created huge hype around the movie.

It's got me considering going to the cinema on the release day of a movie for the first time ever, all for something that I had no real interest in watching when it was originally announced. And practically everyone in the Highsnobiety offices seems to be in the same boat, so we've started planning some outfits to wear to the cinema together.

Inspired by Ryan Gosling and the discovery of his Ken-ergy, here's what we want to wear for the opening day of the movie.

Kasual Ken

Lia McGarrigle, Senior Style Editor

The chances of seeing Ken getting the badge in are small, but there's nothing I'd like to see more than the platinum-blonde character in a Stoney. Ignoring the Stone Island badge, this is a standard all-pink Ken look — casual wear in Barbieland, if you like.

Popenheimer

Gian Hammond, Marketing Coordinator

Watching Barbie at 12 and Oppenheimer at 4? Look no further. We've combined the stylistic codes from both films, which release on the same day, into one look because we can't get enough of the Barbenheimier mash-ups.

Klean Ken

Perri Ho, Marketing Manager

When Ken goes minimal, this is what you get. Decked out in all-white, Acne Studios' knitwear and Port Tanger sunglasses provide a touch of light pink.

Pure Ken-ergy

Jakob Maise, Online Marketing Supervisor

Getting back to the scheduled programming with a full pink and purple look, this one might be the most on-brand look for Ken. The highlight of this outfit is undoubtedly Acne Studios' fluffy accessories.

Kamping Ken

Will Whitworth, Store Supervisor

Yep, we did it: we made the gorpcore and Barbiecore crossover nobody asked for. Comprised of only the finest outdoor gear, we've included pieces from the recent Moncler x Salehe Bembury collection.
