'Battlefield V' Takes the Fight to World War II in Explosive Reveal Trailer
Two days after releasing a short teaser video, DICE finally reveals the debut trailer for Battlefield V. Ready to add a new entry to its storied shooter franchise, the gaming company hosted a live stream event hosted by Trevor Noah, announcing the first details and release date for Battlefield V.
Returning to the grand and ghastly stage of World War II, this new game will focus on squad-based gameplay, explosive battle royale competitive modes made popular by the likes of PUBG and Fortnite, and tell “real stories about men and women who changed history” over the course of the second World War.
Besides the action-packed trailer, DICE dropped another surprise revealing that there won’t be any sort of premium or season pass in Battlefield V. You won’t have to pay for added content like maps or modes, nor will you be able to buy anything that affects gameplay, a huge issue they recently dealt with on Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
Battlefield V will drop on October 19, and will be getting a more in depth multiplayer look at this years EA E3 press conference on June 9. Check out the reveal trailer above.
