From Collabs to Retros: Shop the Best Nike Jordan 5 Sneakers Here
The Nike Air Jordan 5 first graced the court in 1990, at a time when Michael Jordan was still yet to claim an NBA championship. The shoe, designed by long-time Jordan Brand collaborator Tinker Hatfield, was originally released via four colorways, getting its first retro at the start of the new millenium.
Tinker drew inspiration from a World War II fighter plane for the shoe's design, taking note of a particular edition of the jet that featured shark-like teeth graphic work. You'll find that reference point on the midsole of Nike Jordan 5 sneakers past and present.
Since 1990, we've been treated to a host of Nike Jordan 5 drops, including a number of collabs with the likes of Supreme and more recently, Off-White™. But while collaborations make up for a lot of the hype, there are hundreds of limited Nike releases that are worth your attention too.

Air Jordan 5 DJ Khaled
They don't want you to have DJ Khaled's Air Jordan 5 collab. This peachy pair features luxury leather uppers which combine with light blue detailing for a head-turning finish. Nike Air branding graces one heel while the other features 'We The Best' text. What's more, there's a motivational message inside the tongues.
Jordan 5 Retro Aqua
Black suede uppers contrast with a colorful sole unit for the Joran 5 Retro Aqua. This 2023 release suggests that it's going to be a strong year for the Jordan 5. If Jordan Brand manages to maintain colorways like this, we're in for a big one.
Jordan 5 Dunk on Mars

Jordan 5 Retro Dark Concord
In homage to one of the most loved Jordan 11 colorways to have ever released, the Jordan 5 Retro Dark Concord refits the palette to a new silhouette. The purple and black sole unit provides the dark foundations for a clean white leather upper, which maxes out the retro realness.
Jordan 5 Retro UNC University Blue
Few colorways can hold a candle to the iconic UNC University Blue. In the Nike archive, this colorway has dressed some of the most legendary drops to date. This colorway is already creating hype on StockX without officially hitting shelves yet.
Jordan 5 Retro Low CLOT Jade
Love it or hate it, we had to include a Jordan 5 Low pair in this roundup. How better to incorporate the Low version than with the help of fan-favorite collaborator CLOT? Dropping midway through 2022, the Jordan 5 Retro Low CLOT Jade has been a shoe we've come back to several times thanks to its great detailing.
Jordan 5 Retro GORE-TEX Off-Noir
Another release flying the flag for the women is the Jordan 5 Retro GORE-TEX Off-Noir. Not only does the Off-Noir colorway tick all our boxes with its slightly washed-out hue, but the fact that this pair is made from a fully GORE-TEX upper just tops out the scale.
Jordan 5 Retro Green Bean
Grey uppers set the framework for highlight flashes of Green Bean to the midsole, collar, and toggle of this pair. Originally released back in 2006, this pair is sure to get the hearts racing of some older heads.
Jordan 5 Retro Racer Blue
Blue and black is one of the most underrated color combinations around. Some hate it, we love it. Just one look at the Racer Blue colorway is surely enough to get you on side.
Jordan 5 Retro Moonlight
For all the bold colorways that build huge amounts of hype, there's a subtle pair that deserved more airtime. The Jordan 5 Retro Moonlight dropped in 2021 and remains one of our favorite pairs thanks to its versatility and timelessness.
