Beyoncé's Latest Partnership Is All About Whipping You Into Shape
Beyoncé has teamed up with interactive fitness platform Peloton for a multiyear partnership rooted in music. News of the collaboration comes as Bey is currently the most requested artist by Peloton's 3.6 million-plus members.
Beyoncé x Peloton is kicking off during homecoming season for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). As the majority of this year's festivities have been forced to go virtual, Bey and Peloton are looking to extend the celebrations by offering themed workout experiences to Peloton members across numerous fitness categories including indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga, and meditation.
Furthermore, students at select HBCUs can take advantage of two-year Peloton Digital memberships with a full library of fitness classes through the Peloton App. Participating institutions include Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Texas Southern University, and Wilberforce University.
"Peloton and I both believe that the power of music can help uplift, motivate and inspire those on their fitness journeys," said Beyoncé. "I've been a Peloton member for several years, and I'm excited to partner with a company that helps people, young and old, be the best versions of themselves, in an innovative and adaptable way. I'm proud to celebrate the students at HBCUs with this donation, to encourage them to find and embrace their own wellness regimens."
The thematic Beyoncé content is accessible through the Peloton app, Peloton Bike, Bike+, and Tread+, as a free 30-day trial is available using the app. The collaboration between Beyoncé and Peloton will continue in the months ahead with class curation and other elements.
