BMW Unveils 2020 7 Series With Updated Design & Tech
BMW officially introduces its updated 2020 7 Series, featuring a new design of the luxury sedan, along with additional enhancements for the interior. The 2020 7 Series lineup includes eight variations: xDrive M760Li, 750i xDrive (BMW 750Li xDrive), 745e (BMW 745Le), xDrive 745Le, 750d xDrive (BMW xDrive 750Ld), 740d xDrive (BMW xDrive 740Ld), 730d (BMW 730Ld) and 730d xDrive (BMW xDrive 730Ld).
In regards to its design, the notable changes are on the front with large X7-like grilles that is flanked by thin headlights with LED inserts, while the rear section almost remains the same, but updated with restyled lighting.
For its interior, the new 7 Series is detailed with premium leather options and impressive stitch work, as it's also equipped with the seventh generation of BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, displayed on a large screen situated above the dashboard. The company says that it developed iDrive 7.0 to reduce the amount of time drivers spend looking at the screen. Drivers are able to navigate the infotainment system by utilizing the touchscreen, the iDrive controller on the center console, buttons on the steering wheel, voice commands, or gesture controls. In addition, an executive rear seat package option includes a BMW Touch Command tablet for manipulating the rear-seat entertainment, which includes two 10-inch displays and its own Blu-Ray player.
The vehicle is also packed with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which allows the driver to access a variety of functions and information about the car and its surroundings by speaking out loud. Standard equipment also includes wireless charging, air suspension, soft-close doors, panoramic glass roof, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, parking sensors, a surround-view camera and more.
The new 2020 7 Series models are expected to hit dealerships later this spring, with pricing to be announced soon. Head on over to BMW's website now for more info.
