Hank's Schraderbräu Beer From 'Breaking Bad' Is Now Real
Breaking Bad's unrelenting DEA agent, Hank Schrader (a.k.a. “Uncle Hank”), is set to release his fictional Schraderbräu beer this May.
Back in February, The Blast reported that Sony Pictures Television filed to trademark “SCHRADERBRÄU” for beer, drinking glasses, bottle openers, T-shirts, and signs. In the show, which concluded in 2013, Schrader (played by Dean Norris) brewed his own German-style lager. The DEA agent even created a 6-pack with his face on the logo, which could now make up the official packaging of the beverage.
Norris appears to be heavily involved with the real life Schraderbräu product, using his Instagram account to promote the beer. According to Norris, it's "brewed to silky perfection," has a 6.3 ABV, and will cost somewhere between $5.99 and $6.99 a bottle. The beer is being brewed at Figueroa Mountain Brewing's facilities in California.
Schraderbräu is slated to hit shelves this spring for Americans. It seems unlikely that it'll coincide with the Breaking Bad movie's release, but maybe we're in for a surprise.
