Burberry is dedicating its resources to support global efforts in fighting the coronavirus outbreak. Today the brand has promised to help fund University of Oxford's research into a single-dose vaccine and has planned on donating to charities helping tackle food poverty in the UK.

But, its generous efforts don't stop there. On top of tapping its network to help distribute 100,000 surgical masks to the NHS, the company has also pledged to repurpose its iconic Yorkshire factory to make non-surgical gowns and masks for medical staff and patients.

"The whole team at Burberry is very proud to be able to support those who are working tirelessly to combat COVID-19, whether by treating patients, working to find a vaccine solution or helping provide food supplies to those in need at this time," said Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti.
