Regular Highsnobiety readers will be fully aware of what a sneaker meet is, but for those unfamiliar, it's an opportunity for sneakerheads to come together, buy, sell and exchange their sneakers, and share their passion for fine footwear.

Swedish sneaker and streetwear retailer Caliroots has been holding the Caliroots Sneaker Swap Meet for over ten years. This year, it moved the highly anticipated event from its long-term home at The Garden to the newly opened hotel At Six. Following its 10th anniversary last year, the new location allowed Caliroots to open a new chapter in the event's history book as it continues to expand its fanbase and scale up.

The key to securing the best deal was to get there early, and for earlier VIP access, guests could purchase exclusive access passes from Caliroots' SixFeetDown. On top of row after row of sellers, Caliroots and Sole Love treated guests to a 20-piece sneaker exhibition dubbed the 'Scandinavian Sneaker Link Up'. The Nike Air Mag, Hyperdunk Mcfly, adidas NMD R1 Bape Olive Camo, Air Yeezy 1, and Nike Air Foamposite One NRG Galaxy sat, amongst others, in protected glass exhibition cabinets — to the envy of everyone in the building.

For those truly dedicated to the sneaker cause, Stucklife was on hand to leave a permanent mark lamenting sneaker-love on the skin of anyone brave enough. It seems the love of tattoos and sneakers go hand-in-hand because the artist's buzzing needle barely took a break. Permanent skin art is a little scary for some though, so most people shared their passion by wearing the most treasured sneakers in their collection. We've shared our favorites captured by photographer Måns Hegevall in the gallery below.

It didn't stop there, Caliroots offered on-demand embroidery on sneakers, hats and clothing, and once people were all-sneakered-out, there was a seemingly unlimited supply of beer and pizza. Elias Einhyrning, NBDY CLUB, Emilia Franklin, QWANAH, DJ Merema and Taro provided soundtracks that kept people around long after they'd finished trading.

It's a shame we'll have to wait another year for the Caliroots Sneaker Swap Meet 2018, but no doubt it'll only continue to get bigger and better. Check out the 10th anniversary meet and stay posted for info on future meets at caliroots.com and on Facebook.

Don't miss the new and exclusive Caliroots x Filling Pieces collaboration that just dropped.
