We Took Over Milan's Iconic Plastic Nightclub with CAMPERLAB
After a major success with last year’s party at Silicone, our good friends at CAMPERLAB were just the right partner in crime as we took over one of Milan’s most iconic institutions: the legendary Plastic nightclub. A true temple of nightlife, Plastic has long been a magnet for creatives, misfits, and party lovers—its influence on pop culture etched deep into the city’s history.
Plastic nightclub has played a defining role in shaping the Milanese nightlife scene since the 1980s, standing out as a beacon of alternative culture amid the city's more traditional or commercial venues. Known for its intimate yet electrifying atmosphere, Plastic has consistently pushed boundaries with its musical programming, offering a space where underground sounds, electronic innovation, and genre-defying sets thrive. Over the years, it has hosted legendary performances and DJ sets by international artists and cult figures—Madonna famously visited in the early days of her career, while Grace Jones, and Elton John have all been linked to the club’s storied past.
More recently, Plastic continues to spotlight cutting-edge acts in techno, house, and experimental electronic music through events like ReAction and Club Domani, with DJs such as FJAAK, Lorenzo Senni, Sergio Tavelli, and Andrea Ratti gracing its decks. These nights not only attract Milan’s fashion-forward crowd but also serve as an incubator for new music scenes and avant-garde performance, reinforcing Plastic’s legendary status in both the local and international club landscape.
Plastic has also long served as a safe and vital space for queer nightlife in the city, a place where freedom of expression and identity are not only accepted but celebrated. At the intersection of music, fashion, and art, Plastic has become a vital meeting point for creative minds—designers, performers, DJs, and visionaries—particularly those from the LGBTQ+ community, whose influence on Milan’s globally renowned fashion industry is undeniable. This fusion of queer culture and creativity has made Plastic a vibrant community hub, nurturing bold ideas, inclusive connections, and a spirit of fearless reinvention that continues to shape the city’s cultural identity.
We did what felt only natural: threw a party to leave our mark on the iconic Plastic nightclub. The night was a wild mix of sounds and energy—from the infectious beats of Massimiliano Pagliaram, Berghain favorite Roi Perez, and Highsnobiety-alum-turned-DJ Lovefoxy, to the local reggaeton heat of Trrr Moto, led by fellow Highsnob-alum Valerio Farris. Rounding things out were genre-defying sets from Club Domani residents Sergio Tavelli and Andrea Ratti.
Keep an eye on our channels we we wrap up the end of a huge week and start bidding arrivederci to Milano 2025.
