At the core, the Chanel J12 is inspired by the silhouettes of racing yachts from the America's Cup. This year's versions feature new J12 movement. A Chanel-exclusive self-winding movement, the J12's mechanics can be seen through the back side of the watch.

The 2019 J12 is offered in black and white, crafted from high-resistance ceramic. While the overall design has been tweaked, the silhouette has certainly not lost its identity. The dial has, however, been enhanced, while the bezel and crown have been refined, and the numerals given a new look.

Lastly, the J12's highly-resistant ceramic bracelet boasts a steel triple-folding buckle.

Water-resistant to 200 meters, Chanel's all-new J12 ($5,700) launches in boutiques starting April 30. For more on the watch, follow here.
