Beautifully Woven Clarks Are Back on the Menu, Finally
It's a good time to be a Clarks fan, even more, a Wallabee fan. As the beloved classic continues to shine like the style star it was destined to be, the brand has kept the Wallabee fresh with all sorts of makeovers, from making it even more formal as a loafer to designing it with woven uppers. Oh yeah, woven Wallabees are so back, by the way.
Clarks' newest Wallabee Weave puts woven Wallabees back on the menu after the coveted Supreme collaboration. In 2021, the streetwear giant dropped off a collection of deliciously braided Wallabees in four flavors, with each pair snatched up by fans on drop day.
As woven footwear continues to have a moment, it's about time Clarks brought back the stunning Wallabee design.
Clarks' Wallabee Weave arrives in two colorways: sage green and powder blue. Each pair features hand-woven suede uppers, rounded out with the unmistakable crepe rubber sole and branding fobs.
Clarks has also cooked up more Wallaloafer Weave shoes, a woven take on those Wallabee loafers that debuted a few years ago. Both shoes are now available at select Clarks stores.
These particular Clarks are part of the brand's 200th-anniversary celebrations (wow!) and honor Clarks' home country, Somerset, and its local basket weaving craft.
Woven Clarks are almost something you'd expect from a Kith collaboration. Then again, the brand already has those braided Birks that Kith diehards adore. Plus, the label is behind the equally sought-after Clarks x adidas hybrids. And there's more to come, according to Kith man himself, Ronnie Fieg.
