Taking to Instagram, Daily Paper first teased the collaboration with a single image, showcasing one of its signature varsity jackets (as seen in the From Africa to the World collection) in a deep red that serves as a base for touches of white, orange, and gold.
Below Daily Paper's signature sits Dreamville, with each entity's names encircling the Sankoré Madrasa, one of three ancient centers of learning located in Timbuktu, Mali, believed to have been established by Mansa Musa.
The varsity jacket undoubtedly set the tone for Daily Paper and Dreamville's collaborative collection, which also echoes the culturally-rich history of Timbuktu's educational institutions — which are believed to be the oldest on the planet.
In the Dream Daily offering, a coach jacket, sweatsuit, polo dress, hoodie, and tees materialize with preppy graphics and dual branding, rendered in the collection's tasteful palette — nodding to the overlooked early learning centers while also iterating the themes of "dreaming big" and community.
