The cast for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood continues to get more and more impressive, but until this week we didn't know who would play infamous cult leader Charles Manson. According to The Wrap, Australian actor Damon Herriman has landed the role of the polarizing figure.

Stateside, Herriman is best known for his supporting role on FX's Justified, while being much more celebrated in his native Australia. At 48, he is almost 15 years older than Manson was at the time of the Tate-LaBianca murders, which the Tarantino film centers around. He does, however, somewhat resemble the now-deceased American criminal.

Herriman joins a star-studded Once Upon a Time in Hollywood cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Tim Roth, Maya Hawke, James Marsden, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning, Burt Reynolds, and Lena Dunham, among others. The movie is due out next July.

For more on the casting of Damon Herriman as Charles Manson, follow on over to The Wrap.

Now here are six films and TV shows based on Charles Manson and the Manson Family murders.
