It's been nearly three years since Danny Brown released his last studio album, but fans of the Detroit rapper can look forward to a new project on the way as Brown officially announces uknowhatimsayin¿. A followup to 2016's Atrocity Exhibition, the LP is scheduled to arrive October 4 via WARP.

In addition to detailing uknowhatimsayin¿, Danny also shares the album's first single and video, "Dirty Laundry," directed by Simon Cahn. The Highsnobiety Issue 18 cover star reveals that the track — and the album in general — is his ode to stand-up comedy.

"This is my version of a stand-up comedy album. Most of my close friends now aren't rappers -- they're comedians and actors. So I wanted to create something that mixed humor with music. Something that was funny but not parody," he said.

Brown has called on Q-Tip to executive produce uknowhatimsayin¿, the first time the legendary rapper/producer has executive produced an album since Mobb Deep's The Infamous.

"There was no room for error. Q-Tip wanted me to go back to that Greatest Rapper Ever era," Brown stated. "I almost had to relearn how to rap again -- an ego death type thing. He gave me this whole new outlook on music. I can't go back to how I was before."

Paul White, JPEGMAFIA, Flying Lotus, and Standing on the Corner also have production credits on the album, which boasts features from Run The Jewels, Obongjayar, JPEGMAFIA, and Blood Orange.

You can see the tracklist for uknowhatimsayin¿ below. Again, the album drops October 4.
