Editor’s Notes: Extreme outerwear brand Descente Allterrain teams up with Amsterdam-based material development studio, production hub, and design studio Byborre on a limited version of Descente Allterrain's high-spec Mizusawa Down Mountaineer Jacket. This version features a Byborre's signature On-Pattern 3D™ knit technology, designed to create space between the jacket liner and the layer underneath by trapping heat where needed and providing air circulation at targeted spots within the jacket.

The collaborative piece makes use of Meryl® nylon yarns, giving the liner fabric exceptional breathability, elasticity, and a soft touch. The outer fabric is constructed of Dermizax® Flexile Matte 4-way stretch with non-quilted thermal bonding and seam tape construction. The use of this material makes the jacket extremely waterproof.

Look for the Descente Allterrain x Byborre Mizusawa Down Jacket to retail for €1,300 (approximately $1,450 USD) and release in November.
