During an earnings call this week, Disney CEO Bob Iger shared release dates for some of the most anticipated programs coming to Disney+, including season two of The Mandalorian. According to Iger, the second season of the live-action Star Wars series is due out this October.

While speaking on The Mandalorian, he also hinted at new spinoff series based on characters from the show. Additionally, new Star Wars films are also in development.

Prior to The Mandalorian season two, Marvel's The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, is scheduled to release in August. Joining the program is another show from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany star in the upcoming miniseries, which arrives in December. We received our first look at WandaVision during the Super Bowl over the weekend.

Marvel fans can look forward to even more shows coming to Disney+, as Igor stated that there are currently seven other Marvel series in development or pre-production.

Also during this week's earnings call, the Disney CEO revealed Disney+ has reached 28.6 million paid subscribers in just three months.
