Nike's Zoom Vomero 5 shoe, a personal favorite of this writer, quite literally doesn't miss, between the sneaker's charming Y2K design and consistently-great colorways. Dover Street Market's spin on the Swoosh's most stylish dad shoe somehow makes the Vomero look even better.

Yes, cutting-edge Dover Street Market has taken on Nike's trendy Y2K-flavored sneaker, dishing out its own avant Triple Black version of the tech-y Vomero.

It's worth noting that Nike recently launched its own pure black Vomero sneaker colorway for the summer.

However, this latest iteration from Dover Street Market adds a touch of luxury, what with it being a collaboration of a high-end retailer. That means a DSM logo on the tongue — and a higher price tag, most likely.

For its collaborative colorway, Dover Street Market takes full advantage of the Vomero's cool layered upper, basically preserving the distinct setup but adding some fresh glossy moments; just a little something-something to spice things up.

But, elsewhere, the Vomero spirit remains.

Dover Street Market keeps the shoe's summer-ready mesh underlays and that neat heel cap in place, solely elevated the sleek sneaker with an unmissable (but still tasteful) bit of DSM branding on the tongue.

This shoe, or at least this approach to sneaker (re)design may look familiar.

Dover Street Market took a similar approach with its collaborative adidas Samba sneakers and New Balance 991 shoes, maintaining both of those models' beloved shapes while adding mostly understated new touches for flavor.

Dover Street Market hasn't announced a release date for its all-black Nike Zoom Vomero 5 — the brand hasn't even unveiled the sneakers yet (these images you see here are just first-look leaks).

But here's (hopefully) good news for Vomero lovers looking to add the pairs to their rotations: a release date is (basically) confirmed.

Expect DSM's Nike sneakers to launch on June 12 on the brand's website.
