Eminem Responds to Lord Jamar's "Guest in the House of Hip-Hop" Comments
Eminem recently sat down with Kxng Crooked for his first interview since dropping Music To Be Murdered By. On Crook's Corner, the two discussed, amon Lord Jamar's comments about Eminem "being a guest" of hip-hop.
While he doesn't name-drop Jamar, Eminem said, "I don’t know if I’ve got a chance to say this yet, but the funny shit is with the whole beef with a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest." He then explained how he sees himself in the hip-hop game. "I’m absolutely a guest. I never said I wasn’t. And I never said I was king of anything. I never want to be the king of hip-hop." Following Eminem's statement, Lord Jamar took to Twitter to respond. "I guess his EGO wouldn’t allow him to say 'Lord Jamar was right the whole time, & I was buggin for coming at him the way I did...my bad...I am a guest in the house of Hip Hop.'"
As fans may remember, Eminem dissed Jamar on his latest album, Music To Be Murdered By. On the track "I Will," Eminem rapped, "Yeah, your group was off the chain, but you were the weakest link," which many saw as a dig aimed at Jamar. Following the diss, Jamar revealed that Eminem isn't his "cup of tea," adding that the rapper is a "guest in the house of hip-hop."
