Sneakerheads will agree: sneakers are works of art. But for many who aren't in the know, sneaker collecting might seem like a frivilous past time and a colossal waste of money – "What do you mean you're spending hundreds of dollars on shoes that are too precious to wear?" However, with his latest book, artist Eric Ng contemplates the love of sneakers as an art form.

For Sneaker Eulogy published by JUST AN IDEA BOOKS, Ng rendered his (impressive) sneaker collection into dozens of stunning tiny paintings. It all began when he was editing down his sneaker collection and he decided to document each pair in outstanding (miniature!) detail.

This autobiographical album of celebrated designs is a true tribute to the culture. Encompassing iconic models such as the Nike Air Yeezy II, the New Balance 990 v5, the Air Dior, and Kobe Hyperdunk, Ng's paintings reveal the excruciating detail behind every sneaker and how each piece asserts a distinct personality.

Sneaker Eulogy is one of those rare moments where sneaker fanatics and casual observers alike can unite over the beauty and variety of sneaker design.

Head over to JUST AN IDEA BOOKS to cop Eric Ng's Sneaker Eulogy for €50,00 (approximately $59.50).
