Describing their manufacturing ethos as "Transparency From Fiber to Finished Garment" the NYC-based brand keep a hold on every single point of production and can tell you the story of your tee or shirt from first stitch to store. Their favoured fabrics; organic cotton-hemp jersey, (certified) organic cotton-hemp French terry, and 100% hemp jersey are supplied via a Chinese mill signed up to the Fair Wear Foundation, an organization which monitors and regulates manufacturers to ensure fair work conditions and ethical practices. On the US side, organic cotton rib and mesh come from one of the nation's last textile manufacturing regions, Asheville, North Carolina, dyeing processes take place in Los Angeles with final stages of cut and sew located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Okay, so, green credentials aside, the clothing includes simple, high-quality, basics - tanks, sweatshirts, shorts and tees favouring boxy, relaxed cuts. Their Fall/Winter 2014, presented in this terrific, contortionist lookbook, introduces flannel shirts, hemp denim jeans and heavyweight cotton shorts to the mix.
