Editor’s Notes: Foot Locker EU continues its partnership with adidas SPEEDFACTORY with an exclusive pack of city-themed AM4 sneakers. Local creatives in Milan, Berlin, London, and Paris were invited to design an adidas SPEEDFACTORY AM4 sneaker inspired by their respective cities. The first to drop is the above Berlin-inspired AM4 CP Berlin, designed by DJ Inan.

According to Inan, the sneaker’s graphic treatment is inspired by Berlin’s dark history of being separated by the Berlin Wall after World War 2. Inan says, “Berlin is known for its history of separation. It was a city defined by the wall, its borders, barricades, and the barbed wire. But it’s also known for its splashes of color, culture, and creative spirit.”

Inan attempted to capture that juxtaposition with his AM4 design. The black and white represent Berlin’s dark past, while the splash of neon yellow is the creativity shining through.

Available via Foot Locker’s webstore and Alexanderplatz location in Berlin, each pair comes in a special box that features a map of Berlin on it. Check out detailed shots above.
