Editor’s Notes: Footpatrol London and Japanese heritage sportswear brand Mizuno have teamed up to rework the latter’s Sky Medal OG, a silhouette that was first released in 1993 after being worn by all Mizuno athletes during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Keeping with that ’90s theme, Footpatrol has dressed the sneaker in cream and purple tones, as well as added co-branded graphics on the back that are subtle nods to the prevalent style during that decade. Pops of gold add a regal element to the project, which is available starting today, 19.
The Sky Medal OG was relaunched in August 2018 through collaborations with the likes of Patta, BEAMS, and WHIZ LIMITED. Check out shots of the Footpatrol x Mizuno Sky Medal OG above.
