Frank Ocean has called off the release of his vinyl with an unnamed new song, which was made available to preorder on his website last February.

Ocean broke the news of the canceled vinyl via email this weekend. “Due to the events of this year, Frank will no longer be releasing the song that you purchased on vinyl,” it read. “We will be refunding your purchase of this item and any additional items in your order will begin shipping next week. We are grateful for your understanding and are wishing you love, positivity, and health.”

Earlier this year, the singer revealed he would be releasing the 7” vinyl for a song titled “Little Demon" – an Arca remix featuring Skepta. However, fans who had pre-ordered vinyl were subsequently informed that the track would be replaced with a new unreleased Frank Ocean song. Ocean's team didn't share any details regarding the new track, only that it would ship out "as soon as possible."

Nine months later, it seems Ocean has changed his tune about releasing new music given the taxing year it's been. Alongside political activism and urging people to vote, in August the "Chanel" singer lost his younger brother in a tragic car crash.
