Japanese watch company Casio introduces the G-SHOCK GBD-H1000-1A7 equipped with a heart rate monitor and GPS functionality among other sensor functions.

The heart rate monitor is powered by an optical sensor that measures heart rate by detecting the blood flow under the skin, while the GPS capabilities provide location information. In addition, the watch features a triple sensor that measures altitude/barometric pressure, compass bearing, and temperature, and an acceleration sensor that measures step count and distance traveled. Through a dedicated smartphone app, users can manage all of this information, including measurement data history like calories burned and logged travel.

The watch face is powered by a high-definition, memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD. Additional details include USB charging, solar charging and a vibrating notification function.
