Brand: Gatezero

Release Date: May 13

Buy: Kastrup International Airport (CPH)

Editor’s Notes: With international travel picking up more steam it’s only right we kick things into high gear. Last year we launched our first ever brick and mortar pop-up space at Zurich Airport to critical acclaim, and this week we’re taking it up a notch. We present you Gate Zero Copenhagen — Highsnobiety’s first permanent retail space.

As Higsnobiety's David Fischer explained to Vogue, airport shopping is lacking in a lot of areas.  “You could be at one of the best airports in the world and not be able to find a single brand that you normally shop at in the city you live in," Fischer says. "For example, how is it possible that there’s no Aesop or Byredo? These are not niche brands anymore."

The project was realized with airport retail giant Gebr Heinemann, known for its duty free shops and licensed mono-brand boutiques like Hermès and Cartier. The curated selection at Gatezero will feature apparel and lifestyle products from brands like Acne Studios, Comme des Garçons, 1017 ALYX 9SM, AMBUSH and more.

The store is set to officially open this Friday with a pre-opening event on Thursday May 12th at Kastrup International Airport. Check the pics above for a sneak peek and be sure to pull up if you’re in Copenhagen for our new Gatezero collection, dropping exclusively in store.
