It's been a week since George Floyd was murdered by Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the subsequent protests are still going strong. As we continue our coverage of events, here we are showcasing pictures taken by Alessandro Simonetti during recent protests in New York City.

As you'll see, many have and continue to come out and publicly rally around the Black Lives Matter movement and demand justice for Floyd and all others who have been subjected to police brutality and racism in general.
