Editor’s Notes: Gucci is launching its newest sneaker, the Tennis 1977, exclusively in Miami this week during Art Basel. The shoe was first seen in the house's Cruise 2020 advertising campaign starring Gucci Mane.

Pulled from the Gucci archives, the Tennis 1977 is reimagined under a modern lens, reinterpreted by Alessandro Michele. The sneaker is predominantly constructed from canvas and showcases heritage logo stitching.

Made in Italy, the Tennis 1977 is available beginning December 4 exclusively at Gucci's three Miami stores. Those unable to purchase in South Florida can look forward to a global release in approximately two months.

On this week’s episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by Chef JJ Johnson to hear about what he’s got cooking. The James Beard Award-winning chef specializes in his signature pan-African cuisine, which he brought into popularity during his residency at New York’s Chefs Club. Listen below.
