Following teasers, Harley-Davidson provides us with new details about its much-anticipated all-electric motorcycle, the LiveWire.

First off, the LiveWire is expected to hit the market in August of this year, with a price tag of $29,799, considerably more than most other electric variants. The Verge points out that Zero, which some refer to as the "Tesla of motorcycles," offers its Zero S for $10,995 and the longer-range Zero SR for $16,495, for example.

Harley's LiveWire, however, is slated to hit 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds, while of course doing away with the need for gear shifting. The manufacturer also discloses that the bike will travel up to 110 city miles on a single charge.

In addition, the motorcycle comes with a telematics system known as H-D Connect, providing the rider with pertinent data such as battery charging and service reminders, courtesy of Harley-Davidson's connected app. Harley insists the LiveWire will be the first mass-market cellular-connected electric motorcycle.

And for those worried about sound output due to the electric motor, the company says the bike will produce “a new signature Harley-Davidson sound as it accelerates.”
