HAVEN

HAVEN isn't taking any shortcuts ahead of the launch of its FW22 collection. All pistons are firing, its foot is firmly on the gas, and the levels are elevating as function takes full focus, resulting in a collection (or, for now, at least a lookbook) that puts the brand firmly in the Gorpcore conversation.

Self-inserting yourself into a conversation dominated by the likes of Arc'teryx, Klattermüssen, and wander, Salomon, and so on is no easy feat. This is fierce competition, not just aesthetically impressive with above-the-board designs, but their sound technical performance knowledge. Expertise, even.

As fierce and deadly respected as this Mount Rushmore of brands may be, there's always room for more should a brand be well-equipped enough to step up to the plate and deliver.

Enter HAVEN, which has managed to achieve just that with the unveiling of its FW22 collection, boasting all the monickers of performance Gorpcore products worthy of attention.

First and foremost, you'll notice HAVEN's staple dark aesthetic is maintained. It makes perfect sense for the season, of course, though also elevates the details and ultra wearability of the product line-up.

Built to withstand Canadian climates, outerwear lines have been given a specific focus and elevated tooling; all the expected bells and whistles such as teamed seams and GORE-TEX, have been applied, while Primaloft Gold insulation affords lightweight warmth.

Mixed technical fabrications are all the rage, applied to heavyweight shirting, outerwear (again), and a selection of pants. Alongside the collection's knitwear and fleece offerings, silhouettes look carefully considered, with product layering looking both seamless and effortless.

There's so much in this collection worthy of note; too much, perhaps. To really get to grips with the full selection and start building out your winter wardrobe, you'll need to wait for delivery one to arrive online from September 8.
