Damon Lindelof's new Watchmen series is scheduled to premiere on HBO next year, as today we get our first look at the anticipated program. The forthcoming drama is based on the comic book of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

Shared via the official Watchmen Instagram account, the post showcases a masked individual wearing a police officer's uniform, along with the caption, "Who Watches The Watchmen?."

For now, we don't know who is under the yellow disguise, as Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., and Don Johnson have all been announced to feature in the series.

Created by Damon Lindelof, who is also writing and executive producing, HBO's Watchmen is due out in 2019.

Up next, watch the teaser for Seth Rogen's twisted new TV show, 'The Boys.'
