Brand: Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Season: Fall/Winter 2022

Buy: Online at Marc Jacobs' website

Editor's Notes: You haven't died, but you have gone to heaven — or rather Heaven, Marc Jacobs' agonizingly cool sister label.

The Gen Z-loved brand just dropped a new collection and campaign, fronted by an eclectic cast of characters: Pamela Anderson, Doja Cat, Charli XCX, Dev Hynes, and Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan.

The stars, done up as dark angels and pastel fairies, flaunt Heaven's latest wares, a mix of '90s-meets-Y2K staples. Pleated schoolgirl skirts, babydoll dresses, and baggy cargos — Heaven essentials — are accompanied by a fresh crop of collaborations.

A sampling: artist Eri Wakiyama lends her work to T-shirts and bags, while text and graphics from director Wong Kar-wai's Fallen Angels appear on hoodies and knitwear. The fairy tale-like illustrations of tattoo artist Will Sheldon are printed on baby tees and transformed into fantastical statement jewelry.

Heaven turns its attention from celebrity to community in an accompanying lookbook starring the brand's favorite New York City art and fashion scene locals. Jacobs himself appears alongside names including indie sleaze poster-child Meg Superstar Princess, nail artist Mei Kawajiri, and designer Mimi Wade.

Once again, Heaven manages to find a perfect middle ground between underground obscurity and pop appeal, darkness and levity. Basically: we are all but angels in Marc Jacobs' kingdom.
