The Official Bauhaus-Archiv x Highsnobiety Collection Has Finally Arrived
It’s been a week since Highsnobiety first announced its latest collaboration: a partnership with the Bauhaus-Archiv in celebration of the iconic design school’s 100th anniversary, and now the collection has finally landed on the Highsnobiety Shop.
As its heart, the Bauhaus school and subsequent movement were all about breaking tradition, re-shaping ideas of what art, architecture, society, tech, and education mean in the collective consciousness. This mentality provided the center point of inspiration for Highsnobiety’s in-house design team when developing the exclusive collection, which spans a range of tees, long sleeves, sweaters, and hoodies.
Words such as “Return to the Workshop” and “Neue Baukunst” — German for “New Architecture” — were plucked from the Bauhaus Manifesto; the first-ever Bauhaus emblem was translated in new colorways; artworks, furniture designs, and fonts synonymous with Bauhaus take center stage on key pieces, and so forth.
Every piece in the collection was designed in-house at Highsnobiety and developed from scratch in Portugal in certified eco- and labor-friendly factories.
Head over to the Highsnobiety Shop now to cop the collection, which is available for a limited time only. The capsule will also be available to buy in Berlin’s historic KaDeWe, Europe’s second-largest department store, in Hamburg’s Alsterhaus department store, and Munich’s Oberpollinger.
