At this year’s Berlin Fashion Week, Happy Socks proudly unveiled "Solids," a fearless collection of singularly vibrant socks that challenges the conventional norms of fashion. In a society where conformity often dictates wardrobe choices, Solids dares to celebrate the beauty of individuality through a kaleidoscope of bold, solid colors.

The ethos driving Solids stems from the belief that many individuals conceal their true selves beneath societal expectations, whether due to outdated norms, monotonous visual culture, or outdated rules on acceptability. Happy Socks encourages everyone to embrace authenticity by rolling up pant legs or boldly forgoing pants altogether, urging everyone to reveal the true colors that lie beneath.

Renowned Berlin-based stylist Theresa Gross, known for her authentic take on street style, entered the rule-breaking world of Happy Socks with a confident ease, making for a seamless collaboration and bringing the brand’s vision to life. Gross's commitment to self-expression aligns perfectly with Happy Socks' mission, incorporating environmental sustainability through a curated selection of second-hand and vintage garments, complemented by the vibrant SOLIDS & SS24 collection.

The SS24 Runway Show, meticulously choreographed by multidisciplinary creative Franka Marlene Foth and collaboratively cast  between Happy Socks and Hien Lee Casting transcends conventional boundaries through a dynamic fusion of movement and color. The runway showcases a notable range of footwear, from soaring heels to the avant-garde Silver adidas Wales Bonner x Samba adidas, reflecting the diversity of footwear the collection can be styled with. The show's rhythm was punctuated with dancers, among more traditional runway models, creating a one-of-a-kind spectacle that celebrates the fusion of artistic expression.

Unconventional catwalk behavior defined the night. Models popped candy, handwalked, and bolted down the runway at full sprint. At the night’s crescendo, a bride strut down the runway with a billowing train behind her, and proudly sporting a pair of stark white brief-cut underwear.

What the collection makes abundantly clear is that Happy Socks has built a world where vibrant self-expression takes center stage, breaking free from the constraints of conventional fashion and celebrating the uniqueness that lies within. Solids is not just a collection; it's a movement, a call to unapologetically show your true colors and revel in the joy of being authentically you.
