Just in time for Milan Design week, Jacquemus is expanding its creative portfolio with homeware.

The French fashion brand has collaborated with Italian furniture company Extexta on a line of furniture, home decor, and accessories referencing architect Gae Aulenti’s iconic chair collection, “Locus Solus.

Inspired by Aulenti’s mid-century modern pieces and the pastel color palette he worked in, Jacquemus’ new collection has a charmingly vintage feel.

Luxury fashion, fine art, and interior design have always been closely acquainted, so designer Simon Porte Jacquemus bridging his love for all three feels apt.

As the proud owner of pieces from Aulenti’s “Locus Solus” line, Jacquemus didn’t have to look too far for inspiration. Piecing together inspiration from his personal interests and elements of his own creative process allowed the designer to create an eclectic line of adornments for the home and body.

With colors informed by beachy Italian summers, a range of seating options are adorned with yellow stripes, including chaise lounges and beach chairs. Leather decor like tableware and vases come in a similarly soft palette of pink, orange, blue, and green.

Rounding out the collection of home goods are a selection of fashion-oriented offerings, including gold hair picks and leather earrings.

Jacquemus and Exteta’s interior line, “Objets,” can be found at Jacquemus stores and online.

It offers the kind of items that make me want to set up for lunch by the poolside, fantasize about the Mediterranean coast, and redecorate my nonexistent beach house. A girl can dream!
