James Harden’s Tunnel ’Fit is Everything But a Flop
While December 25 is a holiday for most people in America, as well as a chance to exchange gifts and eat copious amounts of food, basketballers aren't always quite so lucky. As the NBA season continues to play out, James Harden had work commitments at Madison Square Garden as the Philadelphia 76ers faced the New York Knicks.
Coming from behind to win 119-112 with Harden putting up a line of 29 points and 13 assists, his performance off the court was equally impressive as the 33-year-old put in a late contender for best NBA tunnel 'fit of the year.
Stepping out in a suitably cozy ensemble to face New York's winter, the basketballer was dressed head-to-toe in Marni.
That started with a balaclava, a winter accessory that has continued to be in favor this season, all the way down to his super-fluffy multi-colored mules. The Italian fashion house's mohair and fuzzy fabrics have become one of its signatures, so it's suitable that the shoes came with a matching lamb shearling jacket which was broken up by brown pants.
A short scroll down the LeagueFits Instagram account will tell you that Marni has become one of the brands favored by 'ballers, with PJ Tucker being another of the recent players to make the case for full fluffy fits from the brand, but Harden took things to the next level with his choice of luggage.
Matching the bright colors on his jacket and shoes were handmade flowers made from dead stock leather or coated canvas which hung from a Louis Vuitton Keepall. Part of the luxury house's FW22 show, which was the late Virgil Abloh's last Louis Vuitton show, the bag is available to shop now from the LV website retailing for a cool $42,500.00.
Thanks to the likes of Jordan Clarkson and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the competition for who has the best sideline style in the NBA is tougher than ever. Harden has always been up there with the top dressers for me, and this outfit once again proves why.
