The Jordan 1 Stompers Are More RAWR XD-Worthy Than Ever
Just before we bid farewell to 2023, Nike threw out the wild card with the debut of its hybrid Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn, essentially the classic Jordan 1 sneaker gone goth platform boot. After enjoying a few Hot Topic memes and even dishing out "soft girl era" options, Nike is taking the Jordan 1 boot up a notch — more like several notches, really.
In 2024, the Jordan 1 Brooklyn boot is even bigger than before, and I'm not talking about its virality. Instead, Nike has introduced a new knee-high version of the platform sneaker-boot, aptly named the Jordan 1 High Brooklyn.
The standout feature of the Jordan 1 High Brooklyn boot is its extended shaft, which gives it a distinctive knee boot vibe. This elongated addition even comes with a Jumpman-branded zipper closure for easy on-off function.
Another interesting point-out is that the Jordan boot's shaft is removable. In other words, fans can switch between the tall goth boot action and normal Jordan 1 Brooklyn boot vibes.
Either way, expect the usuals on top of this new big design: Jordan 1 sneaker details, plenty of Swooshes and Jumpmans, and that hulking boot sole stacked on the bottom.
Right now, there is no further word on when the new Jordan 1 Brooklyn High boot will release (murmurs say they'll stomp in at Nike before the year is out). But with these official Nike pics in view, let's hope we'll catch them sooner rather than later — for the sake of those in dire need of the so-called "Hot Topic 1s."
Whenever the Jordan 1 High Brooklyn lands, it's worth mentioning that they'll come with some neat add-ons, including silver chains and "piercings." There's also a new strap cuddling the shoe's ankle, featuring a pink-painted "No Gravity" message.
Finally, the Jordan 1 High Brooklyn sneaker-boot gets dipped in classic Triple Black energy, following in the footsteps of the OG Jordan 1 Brooklyn.
Ah yes, like true RAWR XD siblings.
